Welcome to the Paradise Point Resort And Spa

With blue skies, pristine beaches and warm breezes off the Pacific, Paradise Point Resort and Spa captures the soul of Southern California. San Diego's premiere island oasis offers 44-acres of lush, tropical gardens surrounded by the excitement and beauty of Mission Bay. Nestled among sparkling waters and long open beaches, the full service Spa and spacious conference center at Paradise provide an ideal setting for a leisure getaway or a productive meeting. Spa Terre at Paradise offers a private sanctuary for relaxation and renewal. Thoughtful in design, Spa Terre incorporates the style and traditions of Indonesia. Treatment rooms are gentle and serene offering rich slate tile contrasted with warm mahogany wood, bamboo and gentle illumination featuring hand-blown glass lighting. Signature body treatments include the Javanese Lulur Royal, a regal ritual that begins with a body massage of Jasmine Frangipani scented flower oil and continues with a lulur exfoliation, followed by a yogurt massage, a scented shower and a soak in an Ofuro tub infused with fragrant rose petal. ...read more

On a private island in San Diego Bay surrounded by "tropical" gardens and beaches, this "unique" bungalow resort with a "staff that aims to please" is "good for families" and others who enjoy "wonderful facilities"; but a fair majority maintains this spot needs some "drastic updating" given the "musty", "dark" rooms with "mismatched furniture", the "lackluster" restaurant and the "minimal amenities."

The hotel staff was great. However, because I was a priceline customer, I was told that my room would be "upgraded". The room smelled muggy, the shower head pressure was extremely high (which resulted in the floor being soaked) and the furniture was VERY weathered. ...read more

The room was big and comfortable.
The ducks.

The hotel was very nice. The ducks were horrible. The location was horrible. I wanted a room in La Jolla and that is way too far away to be in the same demographics as Mission Bay.

The staff at front desk was very friendly and nice.
Very musty smelling room, dirty carpet. Not a 3 1/2 star hotel room.

Hotel is spread out so you almost have to drive to the lobby or restaurants. The grounds could be beautiful but were not kept up in a manicured way. Bed was awful in our room in terms of the mattress.

Common areas were very nice, staff friendly and helpful.
Hotel room had mold in bathroom and silverfish in kitchen and bathroom.

The hotel was very beautiful and the amenities were excellent. A car is an absolute must due to the location, however the parking is expensive. When hotel management found that we did have a problem with the room they were quick to respond and made sure that we felt comfortable in the end. ...read more

Beautiful location and common area.
One of our 2 rooms was not clean and the heater smelled. Some of the staff had an attitude.

Beautiful place. I had a mixed experience with staff. I showed up at noon and was looking to check in as soon as possible because my child had gotten car sick and thrown up on herself on the way down. When I told this to the very young girl working the counter she was very unsympathetic and stated that she had by law until 4 pm to give us the room. By the way my friends traveling with us weren't given there room until 4:30 despite repeated promises all day we would have the room in a few minutes. Our room was clean but our friends room had dirty sheets and the heater smoked out the room for the first hour. When someone came with the clean sheets they set them on the bed for my friends to deal with. Overall it is a beautiful place that could be run much better. ...read more

They charged us 25.00 to park outside the door to our room without disclosing that other parking options were available.

Large property, good location.
Parking was $25 per night, older.

Grounds are very large and well maintained. But the property and rooms are older and shows its age. We got a room that was just remodeled new paint and furniture, but you can still tell the room is somewhat old. $25 parking is too much. No free internet. Operator told me there was free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Went the next morning and it was not free. ...read more

Beautiful property.
Room was stuffy, odd layout.

The hotel property was truly beautiful and resort-like. Staff was friendly. The room itself okay at best (and a disappointment after seeing the rest of the property). The bathroom and shower was configured for wheelchair access which made for an odd layout of the rest of the room. ...read more

Grounds very nice and well kept.
Room was very outdated, stained carpet an the
parking fee was outrageous.

The hotel charges $25 per night for parking which is outrageous as there is not a shortage of parking on a 44 acre property. This didn't even include internet (which was another $10 and it wasn't wireless). The grounds were quite nice. ...read more
